Animal Welfare Awareness Program in Kaluk-Rinchenpong
Soreng, April 4: An awareness program to combat animal cruelty was held on April 3 at Rinchenpong Haat Ghar, District Soreng, organized by the newly launched “Tails and Liberty” Animal Welfare Association,which is in the process of official registration.
The event was held in collaboration with the Kaluk BDO, Department of AH&VS (Rinchenpong), and brought together key attendees including the BDO (Kaluk) from the BAC, Veterinary Officer, Panchayat President, Gram Panchayat members under Kaluk BAC, SHO/PI Kaluk Police Station, Vice Principal (Kaluk SSS), Headmaster (Rinchenpong Secondary School), students and a Lawyer who discussed the legal aspects of animal cruelty.
The gathering also focused on electing the official executive body, with elections scheduled for next week at the Kaluk BAC.
The program was led by Dr. Benjina Balakoti, who will guide the executive body and future initiatives.
