Observation of World Homoeopathy Day at Fire Station Rhenock by Rhenock CHC, Sikkim State AYUSH Society, National AYUSH Mission
Pakyong, April 10:
In celebration of World Homoeopathy Day, Rhenock Community Health Centre (CHC), under the aegis of the Sikkim State AYUSH Society and National AYUSH Mission, organised a special outreach programme today at Fire Station Rhenock.
The event featured a Free Homeopathic Medical Camp, aimed at promoting holistic health and increase public awareness of the Homeopathic system of medicine.
The camp included mass screening for Hypertension and Diabetes, addressing two of the most common non-communicable diseases prevalent in the community. Total no. of 68 beneficiaries were provided free medicines at the camp and availed free consultation. The initiative was well-received by the public, highlighting the growing interest and trust in alternative systems of medicine.
As part of the programme, an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) session was conducted by Dr. A J Kharka Medical Officer (Homoeopathy) & his team Mr Mayesh Thapa (MA) , Sugam Tamang ( LDC) Junu Darjee (NCD /RC) who spoke on the importance and benefits of the Homoeopathic system of medicine in treating chronic conditions and maintaining overall wellness, and later spoke about the availability of Homoeopathic doctors & Medicine in the nearest health facility. Our session helped educate attendees on how Homoeopathy can be integrated into their daily lives for long-term health benefits.
The event was a successful step toward the promotion of AYUSH systems, particularly Homoeopathy, in rural & urban health settings and emphasised the government's continued efforts to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
