As per instructions of the Commandant 36bn SSB Gyalshing, today on 21st April 2025, an awareness program was successfully organised at Saraswati Academy, Uttarey, focusing on two vital social issues — “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) and “Say No to Drugs.” The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness among students towards gender equality and a drug-free lifestyle.
As part of the initiative, an essay competition was held among the students, allowing them to express their views and ideas on the following two themes:
1. Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child
2. Nasha Mukti: A Step Towards a Healthy Life
The students actively participated in the competition and presented thoughtful, well-researched essays that reflected their understanding of these critical issues. The event not only showcased the creativity and awareness of the students but also emphasized the importance of educating young minds on social matters.
After thorough evaluation, prizes were awarded to the best 03 entries in each category to encourage and appreciate the efforts of the participants.
The program concluded with motivational speeches by Neeraj Kr Mishra, Asst. Commandant, A-coy ,SSB Uttarey of 36Bn SSB who highlighted the significance of empowering girls through education and adopting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
Overall, the event was a great success and served as a meaningful step toward sensitizing students on these pressing social concerns. SSB officials and teachers were present during awareness.
