Mangan, April 24:
Torrential rainfall along with hailstorm on 23/04/2025 has caused multiple damages under Kabi Sub-Division.
Team led by Ms. Monika Rai, SCS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kabi Sub-Division along with Shri Sonam Thendup Bhutia, Head Surveyor(Phodong Circle) LR&DMD(Kabi) and DMA team(Kabi) visited areas affected by yesterday's rainfall.
The NH-10 Highway road near Jali Khola under Lower Rongong ward, Rongong-Tumlong GPU has incurred damage due to run off water from the roadside drain which was clogged and has resulted in scouring which has further caused a mudslide.
As directed by SDM, Kabi, the slide area has been covered by Tarpaulin sheet to prevent further damage and concerned department has been informed.
Further, the team also inspected other areas under Phensong and Men-Rongong GPUs.
