Report on Preliminary Meeting for the Upcoming District Level Mock Exercise
In preparation for the upcoming District Level Mock Exercise scheduled to be conducted on 29th April, 2025 at NIT Khamdong under Rabdang Sub Division, a preliminary coordination meeting was held on 24th April, 2025 at the same venue.
The meeting was chaired by Mr Roshan Subba, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Rabdang and was attended by key officials including Mr Dorjee Sherpa, BDO Khamdong, along with representatives from all relevant line departments including GREF, Army, and NDRF.
During the session, Ms Bijayata Kharel, Training Officer, Disaster Management, addressed the gathering and elaborated on the roles and responsibilities of each participating department and agency.
Following this, Mr Sonam Wongyal Lepcha, Deputy Director, Disaster Management underscored the critical importance of such mock exercises in building readiness and resilience. He appealed to all stakeholders to approach the drill with the utmost seriousness and commitment.
The meeting concluded with a closing note by Mr Roshan Subba, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Rabdang who acknowledged the presence and cooperation of all attendees.
He urged everyone involved to work collectively to ensure the success of the mock exercise on the scheduled date and emphasized the value of preparedness in safeguarding the community.
