Kabi, April 30:
Incessant rainfall has caused major lanslide near B6 bridge, NH-10 road(Gangtok- Mangan Highway) near Seven Sisters Falls under Men-Rongong GPU, Kabi Sub-Division.
Accordingly, team led by Ms. Monika Rai, SCS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Kabi along with Head Surveyors(LRMDMD) Kabi Sub-Division, AE, (NH), JEs(NH) and DMA team visited the slide area. The slide has blocked NH road and is completely inaccessible for traveling.
Further, Hon'ble Area MLA cum Advisor, Culture Department & Health Department, Government of Sikkim Shri Thinley Tshering Bhutia also visited the slide area along with his team. The slide has caused land damage to private holding above the road.
As directed by the SDM, DMA team from SDM Office are on site and would be sharing timely updates on the same.
