As part of the Annual Calendar of activities for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, Cooperation Department is engaging in cleanliness drive “Swachhata-se-Sahakar “, throughout the campaign period.
The Department will conduct a mass cleanliness drive on the first Saturday of every month, starting from May 2025.
In this context, Cooperation Department (HQ) conducted cleanliness of the Conference Hall premises located at Sahakari Bhawan, Gangtok, wherein, all officers and staff participated in the drive and did a thorough cleaning demonstrating their dedication to the initiative. District officers and staff also participated in the cleanliness drive in their respective offices.
The “Swachhata-se-Sahakar” activity will continue till December 2025. This initiative aligns with the celebrations for the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 (IYC2025).
The (IYC2025) aims to further raise awareness of the cooperative business model and its role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
