Today, Honorable Governor of Sikkim, Mr. Om Prakash Mathur, State Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Honorable Mr. Ramdas Athavale ji paid a courtesy visit at Rajbhavan.
On this occasion discussed on various aspects of social development of Sikkim, especially women empowerment and social justice.
The Governor, particularly depicting the empowering role of women in Sikkim, said that the women here are not only leading in social structure, but also leading effective leadership in economic, educational and political sectors. She said the self-reliance and social participation of women of Sikkim is a source of inspiration for the whole country.
During the conversation the Honorable Minister of State said that the Central Government is fully committed to the protection and empowerment of the rights of every class of society, especially underprivileged communities.
