District Hospital Singtam.
The District Collector of Gangtok District Shri. Tushar G Nikhare conducted an official visit to the District Hospital, Singtam, accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer Gangtok District Dr. Ashok Rai. During the visit, the DC took a comprehensive round of the hospital premises, inspecting infrastructure, interacting with medical staff, and reviewing service delivery mechanisms and healthcare challenges.
Following the hospital inspection, a review meeting was held, during which key presentations were delivered:
Review on District Health Society by the District Programme Manager. (DPM),
District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) by District Public Health Nursing Officer (DPHNO),
Fire Safety Preparedness by P Secretary (PS),
Zoonotic committee by District Surveillance Officer (DSO).
The meeting was attended by senior officials including ADC Dev. SDM Rabdang, DRCHO, DMS, DPO, CDPO, SE, ACF and other officers from various line departments, Program Officers from District Hospital Singtam, as well as doctors and hospital staff.
In his address, the District Collector emphasized the importance of robust health infrastructure, effective interdepartmental coordination, and proactive public health measures to enhance service delivery and emergency response.
The program was smoothly anchored by DNO NCD/CPHC. The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Deputy Director, IEC Cell, DHS, who extended his gratitude to the District Collector and all participants for their valuable presence and contributions.
