A Talent Hunt cum Selection Trial for Girls (Under-16) in Boxing was successfully conducted at the Indoor Gymnasium Hall, Soreng, for the purpose of identifying and inducting promising young athletes into the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KISCE), Gangtok.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young aspirants across Soreng District. The trials were conducted in a professional and transparent manner, ensuring that talent was the key criteria for selection.

The event successfully identified several promising under-16 girls with potential for training and development in boxing. The selected candidates will undergo further training and nurturing under the expert guidance of KISCE to prepare for future state and national-level competitions.
The trial was a significant step in promoting grassroots-level sports talent in Sikkim and aligns with the vision of Khelo India to build a strong sports ecosystem by nurturing young athletes. The coordination and efforts of all officials, coaches, and support staff ensured the seamless execution of the event.
