Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJUGA) & PM-JANMAN
Campaign Period: 15th–30th June 2025 (15 Days)
Under the direction of the District Collector, Ms. Anupa Tamling, the Social Welfare Department, Namchi, has initiated a 15-day district-wide campaign to promote awareness and ensure saturation of benefits under the Government of India’s flagship tribal welfare programs — Dharti Abha Abhiyan and PM-JANMAN.
Campaign Highlights
June 16 – IEC Campaign Launch at DAC, Namchi
The campaign commenced with an impactful launch event at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Namchi. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Subash Ghimiray, ADC (HQ), who attended as the Chief Guest.
The event witnessed participation from key officials, including:

Stalls and Exhibits
The launch event featured a vibrant display of local enterprise through various stalls, which included:
Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Institute (Blind School), Namchi
Namthang Bamboo Handicrafts
Aradhana Tamang – Crochet Flowers & Plants
Tribal Self-Help Groups (SHGs) – including Nirapara SHG and Ajambari SHG
Anganwadi Workers from Namchi-1 and Namchi-2
These stalls showcased and sold local produce, handmade crafts, and traditional tribal items — reflecting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the local population.
This well-attended and dynamic event marked a promising start to the 15-day campaign, facilitating community interaction, encouraging local participation, and disseminating essential information about tribal entitlements and government welfare schemes under DAJUGA.
