Inaugural Ceremony of Traditional Snacks and Savory Makers Training Venue: Mangalbaria

The Traditional Snacks and Savory Makers Training program was inaugurated at Mangalbaria Soreng District with an aim to revive cultural heritage and empower local youth through hands-on culinary skills.
This training is being conducted under the RAMP Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, organised by the Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with Positron Computer Education Institute.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Panchayat President Mr. Niraj Dong, SDM Mangalbaria, Mr. D.N. Sharma, Inspectors (Commerce and Industries (DIC))Mr. Yogesh Karki, and Mr. Joseph Bhutia. Their presence lent great motivation to the participants.
Both Mr. D.N. Sharma and Panchayat President Niraj Dong delivered inspirational messages, emphasizing how such training programs are essential for promoting self-reliance, skill-building, and sustainable income generation based on traditional knowledge and local resources.
Guests encouraged participants to view this initiative not just as training, but as a stepping stone to entrepreneurship rooted in cultural pride.
The ceremony concluded with a display of traditional snacks by the trainees, offering everyone a flavorful glimpse into what lies ahead in the training sessions.
