Date: 06.11.2025: The Department of Horticulture, Soreng District, successfully conducted a district level hands-on training on the Krishi Mapper mobile application for Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH).
The session was inaugurated by District Additional Director Mr. Robin Gurung, followed by an introductory briefing by Horticulture Development Officer (HDO) Kaluk, Ms. Tshering Lhamu Sherpa, on the objectives of the MIDH scheme and the functionality of the Krishi Mapper application.
A live demonstration on digital data entry was conducted by OFA Sangadorjee and GPU representative Mr. Roshan Chettri, providing participants with practical exposure to real-time data uploading and management.
Additionally, Deputy Director (Horticulture) Soreng, Mr. Subash Tamang, delivered an informative session on the various horticulture components covered under different schemes.
The training witnessed the participation of over 150 field surveyors, including Circle In-Charges from six blocks and field functionaries from 200 wards.
The mission of this initiative was to facilitate smooth and authentic digital data entry for the MIDH programme through the Krishi Mapper application, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in horticulture data management across Soreng District.
