Soreng, February 28: The Rinchenpong Employees Welfare Association (REWA) successfully organized a grand felicitation program honoring all employees under the Rinchenpong constituency for the period 2022–2025. The event was graced by Hon’ble Area MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha as Chief Guest, Mrs. Tila Devi Gurung, Hon’ble Zilla Adhyaksha as Guest of Honour, along with Chairmen, OSDs, Advisors, HODs, officers, and employees.
In his address, Hon’ble MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha urged all employees to work with dedication and sincerity. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the retired employees for their invaluable contributions to society during their service tenure, emphasising that their role as responsible citizens remains vital.
A total of 52 retired employees were felicitated for their dedicated service, while the Best Employee Award was conferred upon Shri Damber Kumar Gurung, Safaikarmachari. Shri Santosh Kumar Allay, retired ADC Soreng, shared his valuable views and suggestions with the employees, encouraging them towards continued excellence.
In a significant achievement under the ULLAS initiative, Rinchenpong constituency has been declared a 100 percent literate constituency, thanks to the tireless efforts of voluntary teachers. The literacy drive successfully covered age groups ranging from 15 to 78 years.
During the program, certificates were distributed by Hon’ble MLA, Hon’ble Zilla Adhyaksha, Chairmans, and Advisors.
The felicitation program stood as a testament to the commitment of REWA towards employee welfare, literacy, and community development.
