Training of officials & staff at National Institute of MSME, Hyderabad
Sept 3: The first batch of officials and staff including Inspectors and office staff under Commerce & Industries Department have commenced training at the National Institute of MSME, Hyderabad. The training is being organized under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance of MSME Programme (RAMP) under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
During the 5-days training, the Inspectors will undergo sessions on Industrial Policies, government programmes/schemes like UNNATI, PMFME, PMEGP, PM Viswakarma, MSE-CDP, etc that supports promotion of industries and MSMEs in the State. They will also be trained on market survey, branding, business plan, digital marketing, e-commerce, understanding financial statements and GST, legal and statutory compliances, Ease of Doing Business, Intellectual Property Rights as well as Quality Concepts like 5S, Kaizen, ZED, TQM, Lean Manufacturing and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
Commerce & Industries Department is in the process of setting up District Industries Centres in all the districts of the state. The DICs will be the implementing Agency for all the schemes and programmes of the department at district level. The objective of this training is to strengthen the workforce to assist businesses and entrepreneurs of Sikkim.
