“Talent shouldn’t go to waste, whether small or big,” said Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of SLA, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, during the Entrepreneurship Awareness Program held on 29th November 2024 at Dojok, Rabong-Sangmoo TC. Organized under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang Golay, and his mission for a “Sunaulo, Samriddha, and Saamartha Sikkim”, the event aimed to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among the people of Sikkim.
The Department of Commerce and Industries, led by respected Assistant Director Smt. Bimla Chettri, and Inspectors Ms. Dil Kumari Tamang, Ms Daktshina Bajgai and Ms. Pinkeyla Lepcha of the MSME Division, worked alongside the youth and entrepreneurs of Rabong-Sangmoo to showcase key MSME initiatives such as PMEGP, SYSS, and PMFME, along with platforms like GEM and PM Vishwakarma.
Graced by esteemed dignitaries, the program reinforced the Government’s commitment to empowering individuals and driving self-reliance. “Let Rangang and Namchi, like many other parts of Sikkim, emerge as entrepreneurial hubs. Take the first step by registering for this venture by the end of the year—I’ll be by your side, providing resources and guidance. The future of our society is in your hands,” Ma’am concluded, inspiring everyone to lead their communities through business and creativity.
