Amar Subba Marathon Man of Sikkim came 5th place in BRUTE Trail Run Championship.
Gyalshing,November 28:
On 23rd November 2024, Amar Subba, popularly known as the "Marathon Man of Sikkim", secured 5th place in the 60 km BRUTE Trail Run Championship in the open male Category held in Basar, Arunachal Pradesh.
Reflecting on his performance, he shared that although he placed 3rd last year, he could manage 5th this year due to an injury.
This Trail Run is part of a National league, and participating in such events allows athletes to earn International Trail Running Association (ITRA) Points. Amar Subba explained that these points are crucial as they serve as one of the Criteria for the World Trail Championship 2025 selection trials, to be conducted under the aegis of the Athletic Federation of India. Representing India in the World Trail Championship would be a significant opportunity for him.
He also extended heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported him both financially and morally. He added that such continuous support remains essential for his future endeavours.
